The Office of Digital Learning is looking to hire two new Course Developers, an Educational Technologist, and anĀ Academic Multimedia Specialist.

Here’s some information from each of the position descriptions:

The Course Developer positions will support the daily operations of the Office of Digital Learning by assisting with the production and maintenance of online and hybrid courses using instructional technologies. They are responsible for ensuring courses and instructional materials meet quality and accessibility standards. They will work on a team assisting with conferences, special programs, and projects, and they be required to provide technical training materials and trouble-shooting.


The Academic Multimedia Specialist assists with shooting, editing, and distributing video. Video projects will range from multiple camera shoots in a studio setting to lecture style to individualized screen cast video products. The selected candidate will be responsible for assuring videos meet ADA requirements and are archived for institutional knowledge.

The Academic Multimedia Specialist will work as part of a team developing high quality videos and media products to engage learners.


The Educational Technologist evaluates new technologies and supports faculty with adoption to enhance instruction. S/he is responsible for troubleshooting issues, developing communication and training materials, and building collaborative relationships with instructors. The Educational Technologist contributes to the academic mission of the University by enabling access to technologies for curricular and co-curricular needs.

The successful candidate will have a good customer service ethic, effective interpersonal skills, an independence in time management and work prioritization, and an approach which focuses on positively impacting educational experiences at the University of Oklahoma.
